Learn about Dogovation Dog Training!
Expert Marin County Dog Training
We’re a dog training company in Marin County, California, specializing in in-home training. All our trainers are certified canine behavior specialists passionate about keeping dogs in their homes and improving the dog-owner relationship.
We view each dog as an individual and each relationship as unique. Our in-home dog training philosophy allows us to create customized training programs that focus on making your dog the best version of themselves. Rather than snuffing out their personality and forcing them to conform to what we believe defines a “good dog,” you get to be the judge.
After all, each dog-owner bond is special, and what bothers one owner may not bother another. Our goal is to teach you how to set boundaries and communicate with your dog so that you can truly enjoy your dog’s presence for years to come.
All of our training is done in the home, and it will be customized to your dogs specific training needs.
Why choose in-home dog training?
We cover our bases. First, we get to know your dog one-on-one and observe your current relationship. It allows us to see any imbalances, behavioral triggers, and areas for improvement. During the in-home consultation, we use these observations to create a training program designed especially for your dog, around your schedule and lifestyle.
Training in the home also helps us keep costs down because we don’t have to pay the overhead for a facility.
How Our Trainers Get Paid
We don’t believe in hourly or weekly rates. Instead, we get paid by the job. During your no-obligation consultation, we work together to set goals and design a plan. We then charge one fixed fee, and that’s all you pay until the training is complete.
Every dog is different; some will take longer than others to train. Should you be penalized for that? We don’t think so. Instead, Dogovation Dog Training offers commitment-based training. This means our trainers will be available to you in person, by phone, or via e-mail for the duration of your training. We may ask you to purchase some supplies to aid your dog’s training, but there will never be surprise fees.
You pay one fixed fee, and we work with you, teach you everything you need to know, and get your dog’s behavior where you want it to be.
Trainer Qualifications
Legally, dog trainers aren’t required to have a certification, and we find that concerning. Our trainers have completed the Canine Trade Group certification program and proudly continue their education through industry events and periodicals.
This certification promises that our trainers have spent time studying various training methodologies, canine psychology, canine history, and more. They have also spent time in the field and shadowing more experienced trainers.
No trainer is allowed in the Canine Trade Group network without meeting these requirements.
We can’t wait to meet your pup!
The trainers at Dogovation Dog Training do not discriminate against dogs based on age, size, breed, or temperament. Our vet-recommended professionals are prepared to handle any behavioral concern, from aggression and separation anxiety to proper leash behavior.
